Washington, DC – Climate Leadership Council CEO Greg Bertelsen issued the following statement in response to the Developing Overseas Mineral Investments and New Allied Networks for the Critical Energies Act (DOMINANCE Act), led by Representatives Young Kim (R-CA-40) and Ami Bera (D-CA-06), passing out of the House:
“The Climate Leadership Council is pleased to see the DOMINANCE Act pass the House, as securing access to critical mineral supply chains is an increasingly urgent component of American security and economic leadership. This bipartisan legislation reflects a growing consensus that future energy security depends on close coordination with our allies. By equipping agencies across the federal government with new tools and expanding access to overseas markets, the DOMINANCE Act will help bolster domestic advanced energy manufacturing. The Council looks forward to continued engagement with Representatives Kim, Bera, and our industry partners as the bill moves forward.”
