Erin Alejandre is the director of policy at the Climate Leadership Council. In this role, she manages a portfolio of federal climate and energy policies, including the organization’s electricity infrastructure work.
Prior to joining the Council, Erin spent seven years at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), serving both Republican and Democratic administrations. As a Program Examiner in OMB’s Energy Branch, she oversaw the formulation and execution of the federal budget for the Department of Energy’s clean energy and nuclear programs. She also served as Special Assistant to the National Climate Advisor in the White House Climate Policy Office, advising on the American Jobs Plan. Earlier in her career, she worked on solar energy policy at the Department of Energy.
Erin holds a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Energy Science and Applied Physical Analysis from Creighton University.
