Dan Giamo

Dan Giamo is the director, policy at the Climate Leadership Council. In this role, he leverages his extensive expertise to shape federal and international climate policy frameworks and develop strategic legislative initiatives.

Before joining the Council, Mr. Giamo spent seven years at the White House, working on climate, energy, national security, and foreign policy issues for Republican and Democratic administrations. He has served multiple roles in the White House’s Office of Management and Budget, including as the acting Chief of the International Economics Affairs Branch, and at the National Security Council as Director for Legislative Affairs.  

Prior to his career in policy, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army. He holds a B.A. in History from Fordham University in New York, NY, and an M.B.A. in International Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
