Greg Bertelsen Again Recognized Among Washingtonian’s Most Influential

May 7, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC – Washingtonian magazine has named Climate Leadership Council CEO Greg Bertelsen to its annual list of Most Influential People for the third year running.

The list highlights individuals shaping key policy conversations in Washington DC, and Greg’s inclusion reflects the Council’s steady role in advancing durable and effective solutions to lower global emissions. Since becoming CEO in 2020, he has continued to build a coalition that brings together voices from business, government, academia, and the environmental community; overseen the launch of the Council’s Center for Climate & Trade and growth into new areas like critical minerals supply chains and international investment; and led efforts to see America’s Carbon Advantage leveraged through new policy.

“Greg’s exceptional leadership has helped the Council stay focused on what really matters: building momentum for climate, trade, and international investment policies that advance U.S. interests and lower global emissions. In a crowded policy landscape, that kind of clarity and direction makes a real difference,” said Climate Leadership Council executive vice president and COO, Tiffany Adams. “I’d like to offer my sincerest congratulations, Greg, on your recognition in Washingtonian’s Most Influential People Shaping Policy for the third year in a row!”

“This recognition reflects the hard work of the entire Council team and stakeholders in advancing effective solutions that are in our national interest. The U.S. has an enormous opportunity to be the global leader in advanced energy technologies and other low-carbon solutions—a near limitless global market opportunity—for decades to come. I’m honored to work every day with a dedicated team focused on turning this possibility into a reality,” said Climate Leadership Council CEO, Greg Bertelsen
