Policymakers across the government are working to re-think and improve the U.S.’s foreign assistance and investment toolkit, including the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), which must be reauthorized this September and the Export-Import Bank (EXIM), which must be reauthorized next year. The Center is already engaging policymakers, including relevant committee staff in both chambers, and has found that this new initiative is incredibly timely. We penned two letters to House Foreign Affairs and Senate Foreign Relations leadership outlining the key principles of our approach.
