Can advanced energy policy strengthen the entire U.S. industrial sector? Based on new modeling from Cambridge Econometrics, we found that a comprehensive set of policies to accelerate advanced energy and decarbonization technologies delivers gains well beyond the clean energy sector, benefiting industries from metals and chemicals to machinery, utilities, and mining.
Examining five commonly discussed policy interventions, the analysis shows how growing global demand for low-carbon energy can create new opportunities across the industrial base.
The takeaway: advanced energy policy can act as a rising tide—driving growth and decarbonization across the U.S. economy.
