Ahead of the upcoming 2026 USMCA joint review, the Council’s Dan Giamo testified before the Office of the United States Trade Representative on our recommendations for strengthening North American critical mineral supply chains.

The testimony emphasized four key priorities for expanding and securing supply chains:

  1. Enhance supply chain transparency
  2. Expand regional extraction and processing capacity
  3. Boost North American competitiveness
  4. Engage additional international partners
